==Romanization==
Hi there. I was going off this mostly:
*http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revised_romanization

However sometimes it's not always good, as some people read it like an English word literally. In general I'm against romanization except for maybe in "[[Survival Korean]]." I haven't had much time to update the site, but in about 3 weeks I should finally be free (writing a book at the moment). In all honesty I think it would be better to leave off romanization in the vocabulary part, but instead move it to the surival Korean section for people who might be going to Korea on short notice. For Survival Korean, I think your method of romanization would be better since people tend to read it as English words. What do you think? I'd be interested in your opinion. Thanks again! --[[User:DigitalSoju|DigitalSoju]] 02:27, 19 June 2011 (PDT)
:Hello. I suppose I can use that as a romanization template, although, like you said, most people read it off like the literal English word, which does alter the pronunciation a bit, so if you don't mind, I believe that in the Survival Korean page, I'll try to adjust the Romanization according to what I believe would be easier for an Native English speaker to have a more..."accurate" Korean pronounciation, but will still use the link you gave me as a resource. Okay. For the vocab. parts I'll be sure to remember to take off the romanization and keep that to the Survival Korean pages. I'll be sure to keep in touch. THANKS AGAIN! And good luck with your book!--[[User:Dumpling|Dumpling]] 02:35, 19 June 2011 (PDT)
::Yeah i agree. Some words like '넌' would be romanized as 'neon' and a person used to reading English would use probably say it like 니얀. One thing I do recommend is to use G for ㄱ, B for ㅂ,J for ㅈ and D for ㄷ. I think when people use K for ㄱ for example, it starts to sound more like ㅋ. For example 강남 as ''''K'''angnam' tends to sound like 캉남 because the initial K in English is aspirated just as ㅋ is. I think a lot of the Suvival Korean can be copied from the vocab sections and reorganized with romanization and useful sentences added. Probably have to cut out a lot of unimportant words as well. I'll be happy to jump in and help in a few weeks. Thanks :)--[[User:DigitalSoju|DigitalSoju]] 17:04, 20 June 2011 (PDT)
:::Cool beans. I'll keep that in mind once I start doing more additional major edits on the 'Survival Korean' Pages. ==FAQ==

===What's the point in learning Hangeul when I can just use Romanization?===
Simple answer: Romanization is not accurate for Hangeul. Not only is the Romanization system for Korean not very accurate in the first place, but Korean has unique sounds that do not correspond to sounds in English. In order to read Korean and pronounce Korean words accurately, you must first learn to read the Korean script itself. Would it make sense to learn English using the Korean script? Of course not, so in the same sense, English cannot represent Korean sounds accurately.
==Romanization==

At the current moment I'm a tad bit busy with Rationalwiki, Wikipedia, and Summer Courses. But I'm usually always online. :D Any help will be appreciated! THANKS!--[[User:Dumpling|Dumpling]] 17:09, 20 June 2011 (PDT)
::::Do you happen to know how to do a lot of advanced things on a wiki? I'd like to make the hanja section run of a symantic wiki or whatever it's called. --[[User:DigitalSoju|DigitalSoju]] 01:15, 21 June 2011 (PDT)

:::::I'm not the ''most advanced'' when it comes to wiki, since most of things I do involve blocking vandal, re-directing links, citations, and the occasional re-editing pages when blanked, and making pages look--more aesthetically pleasing (OCD-esque) but I do have a couple tricks up my sleeve. I'm not sure by what you mean 'run of a symantic wiki". If you could please explain this?--[[User:Dumpling|Dumpling]] 05:51, 21 June 2011 (PDT)

==Slang==
*A meter for politeness or rudeness? For example cuss words can be rated on it's offensiveness.
**Maybe a star rating template we can use other places? (like <nowiki>{{1star}}</nowiki> or <nowiki>{{rating|1}}</nowiki>)
*Warning for mature content sections necessary? (sexual words and cuss words)
**Yeah, we should probably have a sub-section of offensive and adult-natured content
:::Once there's a meter or a good 'rating' of offensiveness: There should be categories within those ratings stating on whom those words can be stated to---friend/strangers.
Hello.
I'm student at in the USA, currently in sophomore in college.
I'm on this wiki to not only re-learn my old Korean that I used to speak so fluently, but help others learn this language with more ease.
I find this site to be an interesting concept and it would be an honor to contribute to this wiki.
I'm usually quick to respond, so any questions you have, you can e-mail me or set up a discussion section on my talk page.
And if I happen to edit anything of yours, don't be offended.
Rest assured, most of the content will still be there, I'll usually only edit your entries if it looks messy.
I like things to be aesthetic pleasing and easy to read.

<br/>

I added section-specific editing help guides. Now that we've been really fleshing out the sections it seems like something that will help people know exactly how to edit any specific section. This will hopefully help us keep our formatting uniform in any page in any given section. Since you've worked so much on the grammar, maybe you can work on that page. I just added a few things to get it started. I put a notice on all the sections that have pages to help edit that section so you can just go to the grammar section and you'll see it. If we're going to do these differently, now is the time to decide how to format and organize these pages. --[[User:Mstrum|Mstrum]] 06:25, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
Hey, my school year is basically over so I'm pretty much ready to take up jobs as you see fit. <br>
Something that I think needs to be addressed is a renovation of the way the music section is organized. I'm about to start translating songs for practice which is going to lead to a much messier looking music page, and I think that it'd be best if the entire section was redone into some kind of hierarchy by artist, perhaps album, and then track. --[[User:Teochewiness|Teochewiness]] 23:37, 13 May 2010 (UTC)<br>
Hi, it's possible we can sort them into different ways so the user can look for it by artist or what not. All you'd have to do is create a category for it, i.e. the artist's album name. Then on the artist's album name page you could categorize that into the artist's name. Also you probably don't need to translate most of the songs as there are already people out there doing translations, as long as we credit the other sites it should be fine. If you'd like a better format to work with instead of the current one, let me know and i'll see what I can do. Thanks--[[User:DigitalSoju|DigitalSoju]] 23:50, 13 May 2010 (UTC)<br>
Well, I was planning to translate more obscure songs and requests, so that's that. By the way, I think the youtube video code isn't working anymore on this site. And I'll try the categorization, thanks. --[[User:Teochewiness|Teochewiness]] 15:22, 16 May 2010 (UTC)<br>
