I very well understand that the lacking count of active contributing members is the primary reason for this as having such leaves little to the promotion of organization and similar, useful hierarchies. Also, while I recognize the current priority of these fields as sensible, I would like to offer a strong, sectioned restructure of what already exists.

*LiveMocha : LiveMocha is, in my opinion, a free version of Rosetta Stone PLUS an intriguingly well-developed community, both of these working together in an attempt to have you learn a language. The Korean version appears to have low-quality native pronunciations of a good number of phrases and its accuracy may, as I have yet to come to such an understanding, be questionable. In truth, I did not spend a respectable amount of time there and still will not until I progress well into the "beginner" stage of learning Korean. Thus: not recommended as a beginning source.

*{{correct}} BeforeYouKnowIt Byki : I myself have used this one several times before now and will likely continue to do so in the future, though not as a primary material. On the company's site is a free version of their application implemented in any Internet browser with Flash support. A good deal of their official pieces utilize Korean Romanization, which is most detrimental in the learning of the language. In spite of this negativity, there exists user-created materials with native pronunciation (with the option of slowing the recording simply with a click), Hangul text, and sometimes pictures.

*Korean Class 101 : While I have not toured the bulk of their content, they seem promising in many regards. I have used a few of their newbie lessons and I enjoyed them and thought them useful. *Lack of Links : What bothers me perhaps most of all the things while navigating this Wiki is the lack of netted links, one of the prime features of a Wiki. If I am allowed, I will insert bracketed links over all entries I feel deserve them. The only thing preventing me from doing so at this moment is the lack of knowledge over the organization of this wiki (and which links already have a page for them; so as not to be redundant and recreate these pages, I wish to know this).

*{{incorrect}} ''(Proposal rescinded)'' Page Expansion : Perhaps most frustrating to my eyes is the lack of page expansion to accommodate larger, widescreen monitors. I do not mean the basic frame of the site, but rather the content within it. Again referring to this article's Particular, I see the horizontally centered table of words to be a thing of annoyance in that rest of the page is left blank. To my eyes it's a gaping hole of white that needs to be filled with some sort of content, but at the same time I suspect that it's just my personality and ridiculous monitor corrupting my opinion.

Thanks for the 'hello'! I'm having some trouble memorizing the Diphthongs of Hangeul, but after that I have a feeling it will be a breeze. Tonight I will be putting a lot of effort into getting those down... I have already taken a look through some of your materials on learning Hangeul. I'll make use of what I can (I think I have a list of 20-some websites that I have been using. I'll give you a few ideas on what kind of learning tools worked best for me.) Don't worry too much about the incompleteness of your Hangeul learning section--the site already looks great! --Galinaros 00:56, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Recommended sources

If you're looking for resources on learning Hangeul and some other basic things, there are some really great sites listed at Language sites#From the Beginning. Like Chris said, we're planning on including Hangeul soon, but for now the wiki assumes Hangeul knowledge. Good luck! (I've actually never studied Spanish. I guess I've always just been interested in rare languages. I'm just happy I happened to learn Korean and have stuck with it since.) --Mstrum 03:04, 11 July 2009 (UTC)
