Adjective/Verb + 거든요 : This grammar has several usages.

Used for giving an explanation
Used to introduce information you are going to elaborate more about.
Letting something be known, denying something, used for setting some fact straight, possibly in a slightly rude way. This is sometimes used when someone is being defensive, or in a 'for your information' way.

Conjugation Rule
	Pattern	Case	Example
Rule 1:	거든요	If there is no 받침 or if the adjective/verb stem has ㄹ as a 받침
Rule 2:	거든요	If there is a 받침 at the end of the adjective/verb stem

지은씨, 눈이 충혈됐어요." "어제 밤에 잠을 못잤거든요.	Mrs. Jieun, your eyes are bloodshot." "(Because) I couldn't sleep last night.	polite informal form
왜 아직 퇴근 안하셨어요?" "아직 할 일이 많거든요.	Why haven't you gone home yet" "(Because)I still have a lot of work.	polite informal form
나는 우리 사장이 싫어, 너무 까다롭거든.	I hate my boss, (because) he is too picky.	low form
나 그여자 또 만나고 싶어. 진짜 예쁘거든.	I want to see her again, (because) she is really pretty.	low form
한동안 남자친구를 못만났어. 내가 많이 바빴거든.	I couldn't meet my boyfriend for a while. (Because) I've been very busy.	low form
어디가세요?" "공항에 가요. 친구가 한국에 오거든요.	Where are you going?" "I'm going to airport. (Because)My friend is coming to Korea.	polite informal form

Examples when used to introduce information.

내일이 아빠 생신이거든요. 그래서 선물을 사러 백화점에 갈거예요.	Tomorrow is my father's birthday. So I am going to go to deparment store to buy a present.	polite informal form
나 어제 소개팅 했거든. 그런데 그 남자가 내 타입은 아니었어.	I had a blind date yesterday. But he was not my type.	low form
나 오늘 밤에 영화보러 갈거거든. 너도 같이 갈래?	I'm going to go see a movie tonight. Do you want to come with me?	low form
나 지금 너무 슬프거든요. 혼자 내버려 둬요.	I'm so sad now. Please leave me alone.	polite informal form

Examples when used for letting something be known, sometimes in a 'for your information' manner.
