There are 2 kinds of 나. One is "OR", another one is "BUT".
- First 나 : 맥주나 소주 (Beer or Suju), 개나 고양이(Dog or cat)
- Second 나 : 맥주는 좋으나 소주는 싫습니다(I like beer but I don't like Soju.)
Second one is similar pattern to [맥주는 좋습니다. + 하지만 소주는 싫습니다. → 맥주는 좋지만 소주는 싫습니다.]
[맥주는 좋습니다. + 그러나 소주는 싫습니다. → 맥주는 좋으나 소주는 싫습니다.]
That's why I included it on 그러나's page.
And,, This pattern is hardly used in spoken languige. but sometimes used in written form. --Jay shin
