Description

Tensification happens when a consonant becomes tense because of what preceeds it.

Cases

Velar stops

  • ᆨ/ᄁ/ᆿ + ㄱ/ㄲ → ㄱ + ㄲ
  • ᆨ/ᄁ/ᆿ + ㄷ/ㄸ → ㄱ + ㄸ
  • ᆨ/ᄁ/ᆿ + ㅂ/ㅃ → ㄱ + ㅃ
  • ᆨ/ᄁ/ᆿ + ㅅ/ㅆ → ㄱ + ㅆ
  • ᆨ/ᄁ/ᆿ + ㅈ/ㅉ → ㄱ + ㅉ

Coronal stops

  • ᆮ/ᇀ/ᆺ/ᆻ/ᆽ/ᆾ + ㄱ/ㄲ → ㄷ + ㄲ
  • ᆮ/ᇀ/ᆺ/ᆻ/ᆽ/ᆾ + ㄷ/ㄸ → ㄷ + ㄸ
